pyramids of Giza

For literacy our focus is working on different styles of writing. For our
information report we had a choice between the pyramids of Egypt or
the extreme weather.

Have you ever been interested in the pyramids ? I have.

The pyramids took about 20 years to build.

The pyramids of Giza were built the side the River Nile
A theory has been told that they wet the sand in front of them and they tug the big stones across the hot desert.

The pyramids took about 2,300,000 stones. They were cut and they were placed in the right place. No one actually knows how they put the really heavy stones in there right place.

Another Theory said that the pyramids were covered with this thing and it made the pyramids shine like a star. But after many years the thing wore off and it shines no more.

I wish that one day we will find the real story behind the pyramids.

If you ever get the chance to see the pyramids I suggest you do that. It would be fun!

How/ to brush your teeth...

For Health we have been learning about keeping yourself clean. The first thing we did was we watched a video about the importance of brushing your teeth. We had to create a slide of how to teach 5 year old's to brush their teeth. We had to have how long you had to brush it for and when to brush your teeth. The hardest thing I found was to make the brush move and make the bubbles. My next step is to make my slideshow easier to understand. One of my question that I have how can I improve my slideshow and how to create more advanced movement? Maybe next time I could get the brush to talk instead of the people.

In writing with mrs mg we learnt about kenning poems . they are an old Nordic style poem. they have 8 lines and always has a noun and a word ending in "er"
