Whale Rider
In such movies as Whale Rider, about a 12-year-old Maori girl who dreams of becoming her tribe's first female chief, and North Country, based on the true story of the first class-action sexual harassment suit brought to trial, by a female miner in Minnesota, Caro explores themes of gender and power. Koro leads a cultural school for the village's first-born boys, hoping to find a new leader. He teaches the boys to use a taiaha (fighting stick), which is traditionally reserved for. The whales that niki was riding were humpback whales.
The humpback whale is a species of baleen whale. It is one of the larger rorqual species, with adults ranging in length from 12–16 m and weighing around 25–30 metric tons. The humpback has a distinctive body shape, with long pectoral fins and a knobbly head

Today in cooking we made chocolate chip cookies.
The ingredients we had to use was:
1/2 c sugar(100g) , 200g butter , 4T Condensed Milk ,
2t Baking power , 2c Flour , 2 t Essence ,
1/2 c Inclusions (eg Choc chips)
We had to work in pairs of 2 I went in a group with Hollie E. They look like golden brown cookies when we brought them out of the oven.We had two periods to finish the cookies but we finished them faster than we thought. so we had one more period to get through so the teachers suggest We should write what we did on our blogs.I had so much cookies so I gave so out to the teachers. I gave one to my teachers and he gave my feedback back to me. He said they where so soft and they where super yummy:) I was happy. I rate my group out of 5 a 5/5 bc we didn't argue about getting stuff and we cooperated nicely: byee

Matariki
What is Matariki?
In Māori today me and cayleigh worked together and wrote down what Matariki is and what's the purpose is of Matariki. In the Māori language Matariki is both the name of the Pleiades star cluster. And also of the season of its first rising in late May or early June. This is a marker of the beginning of the new year. Twinkling in the winter sky just before dawn, Matariki (the Pleiades) signals the Māori New Year. Traditionally, it was a time for remembering the dead, and celebrating new life. In the 21st century, observing Matariki has become popular again. Heaven-bound kites, hot-air balloons and fireworks help mark the occasion. hope this helped you out if you didn't really know what the purpose of Matariki and what Matariki is. bye!

Hi guys this past 2/3 days I have been working on solve emoji puzzles. Me and Arnicka where so confused so for the 1st and 2nd ones so we helped each other out. And the rest we did our self's. It was hard at first because i didn't really know what to do but then me & Arnicka worked it out and I ended up finishing the rest of it myself. I was really happy with myself that I got it finished so quickly. This is what I had to do. And then when I finished that we all had to make our own ones this is what mine turned out like :) Is this right Mr Mitchell. By Hollie
